Foodland’s Give Aloha Program
September is the GIVE ALOHA PROGRAM Fundraiser at SBH!
-Raise money for SBH without spending a dime!
Here’s how it works:
Go to Foodland or Foodland's website to make a contribution of $249.
This will either count toward your October Program Dues or you can be reimbursed! We have a donor family who has offered to make a matching donation to SBH through this program by reimbursing you for any donations that don’t count toward your program dues.
Make a $249 donation with your Maikai Card at Foodland to the CTF – Educational Co-op Charity Code: 78970. You can make a $249 donation with each Maikai Card you have in your household.
For example: Mom and Dad both make a donation with their separate Maikai cards; Mom has her donation count toward October Program Dues; Dad has his donation reimbursed; Grandma then also makes a $249 donation with her Maikai card and is also reimbursed!
On all your duplicate receipts, write in your name and mailing address.
Give or take a picture and text/direct message your receipt to Deacon Ben.
If you are wanting to have this go toward your October Program Dues, then pay the balance of your dues via check or Zeffy to Deacon Ben.
Example 1: Your dues amount is $373 for October. You make a $249 donation and submit the receipt, and pay $124 through Zeffy).
Example 2: Your dues amount is $746 for October. You make two $249 donations, submit the receipts, and pay $248 through Zeffy).
If you can also want to get reimbursed for any donations not to be applied to your program dues, you will be given a check to reimburse your payment in full after verifying the posting of the donation (within 7 days).
Example 1: You have an auto-payment set up for your program dues. You make a $249 donation and submit the receipt. You will then receive a reimbursement check from SBH within 7 days of it being posted.
Example 2: Grandma wants to help out SBH with this fundraiser. She makes a $249 donation and submits the receipt. She will then receive a reimbursement check from SBH in mail within 7 days of it being posted.
Foodland will make a partial matching donation. The exact amount will depend on the total amounts donated, but usually it will be about $50 or more for each $249 donation made.

Dear School Parent of a St. Benedict Hall Student:
The Foodland’s Give Aloha Program matches a portion of the donation that people make at Foodland in connection with their Maikai Card. IMPORTANT!! The donations must be made in the month of September 2023. They may extend the deadline one more day to October 1, 2023.
When you go to a Foodland Cashier, you show them your Foodland Maikai Card (or give your phone number), and tell them that you want to make a $249 donation to the CTF-Educational Co-op Fund #78970 (the maximum amount is $249 to any one charity per Maikai Card).
You may consider making part of your October program dues payment by using this program in September, since the maximum donation is $249. You may want to have your friends or relatives pay additional months of program dues on your student’s behalf, by donating through their own Maikai Card.
Then you turn over a copy of that receipt with your name, and address to either Dcn. Ben at SBH or directly to me: Dcn. David Chung, 91-1841 Keaunui Drive Unit #2321, Ewa Beach, HI 96706. Or text me a photo of the receipt to (808) 445-3196. Please remember to give me your address on the receipt or text. The reason for this is that Foodland will not give us the donor information (name & address). We will credit your student’s account for each non-duplicate receipt. We will be able to track a valid receipt on the Foodland website. If your co-worker, family member, or friends want to do the same forwarded this notice to them, and they can do the same.
What will SBH get from it? It will make your individual payment go further as a portion will be matched by Foodland. Last year the CTF Educational Co-op (St. Benedict Hall) made over $8,700 from Foodland using this program.
What will you get out of this? You will 1)get mileage/or points if you use your credit card; 2) get to deduct the $249 as a charitable donation on your tax return; 3) and help a charity.
Thank you for your support.
