SBH Board of Trustees

Fr Mark was one of the founding families to pioneer SBH in 2018, served as the headmaster for SBH’s first school year, has taught classes at SBH for six years, and has three children who attend SBH as students. He currently serves as the Dean of Culture at SBH, the SBH Chaplain, teaches Advanced Latin at SBH, and is the rector at All Saints Honolulu Anglican Church. Fr. Mark serves on the board in ex officio capacity.

Chris, originally from the Midwest, has lived in Hawaii on and off for the past 13 years. He holds a PhD from Wheaton College, and has done additional studies at the University of Chicago Divinity School and the University of Oxford. He has taught at Northland International University, Cedarville University, and Trinity Christian School. He has written and co-written six books, as well as numerous articles and reviews. He is currently the President of Oahu Theological Seminary in partnership with Training Leaders International. He and his wife Katie have four boys: Luke, Simon, Elliot, and Noah. They are members at All Saints Honolulu where he is an assistant priest.

Steven grew up in Pensacola, FL and attended the University of West Florida, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2011. He joined the US Navy as a logistician in 2013 shortly before marrying his college sweetheart, Lea Hanna.

They moved to Hawaii in 2021 and enjoy paddle boarding, playing at Ala Moana beach, and hosting friends and family in their home. Steven has recently completed his MBA from College of William & Mary and looks forward to more free time!

He is a Vestry member at All Saints Anglican Church.

Dan Douglass was born and raised in Hawaii, and has a passion to see God’s Kingdom grow and mature in the islands through churches and schools. He attends Christ the Foundation Anglican Church, and serves at the CTF music director. Dan has served as the Chair of the SBH Board since 2022.

Meghan grew up in North Carolina and went to  North Carolina State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. She has had the privilege of homeschooling for nine years and been a part of the SBH community since 2023. Meghan, her husband Matt, and their boys are members at All Saints Church. She is excited to be a part of the board and give perspective as a homeschool parent with elementary, middle school, and approaching high school students.

Sierra and her family have been a part of the SBH community in some capacity since its foundation in 2018. Their oldest daughter started Kindergarten in 2023. Her and her husband were married at, and were regular attendees of, Christ the Foundation Anglican Church in 2016. They spent multiple years at CTF and in 2020 moved into Honolulu, where they currently attend All Saints.

Josiah grew up as a homeschool student here on Oahu, and went on to receive a PhD in Plant Pathology. He attends Christ the Foundation Anglican Church and has served on the church’s Parish Council since 2023. He is excited to be a part of the board and help SBH grow, flourish, and cultivate virtue and leaders for the next generation.

Dcn Ben has been the SBH Program Director since 2019, and has been on the SBH school board since 2018. He is passionate about ministering to students and families in our classical Christian collaborative model. Fr. Mark serves on the board in ex officio capacity.
