Pu’uhonua Farms Excursion RSVP

Tuesday, September 24th from 8:40am-lunch
We’ll be visiting Puʻuhonua Farms located at 47-292 Ahaolelo Rd, Kaneohe, HI 96744. Please arrive between 8:40-8:55. We’ll start with a tour of the farm at 9am. The tour will last about 1.5 hours (most not in the shade, so a hat could be a good idea). We’ll work in the loʻi for about an hour. Be prepared to get muddy from head to toe! (As in getting into a mud bath muddy…!) Wear comfortable clothing and slippers so you can go barefoot in the loʻi. There is a hose at the farm to rinse off, so be sure to pack a towel and clean clothes. We can have a picnic lunch on the farm afterwards. There’s only a few picnic tables to sit at, so if you’d like to eat lunch at the farm consider bringing a blanket or beach mat. Non-SBH adults and children are $2, children 2 and under are free.
Bring: clothes that can get dirty, slippers, water bottles, organic sunscreen/bug spray (if desired, but must be organic to mālama the ʻāina), picnic lunch, picnic blanket
Like all our excursions, parents will need to be present during excursion unless you give express permission to another parent to be responsible and liable for your child. SBH as a program is not directly responsible for the safety or well being of students while on excursions due to our limited insurance coverage. However, we will of course all take care of each other and watch out for the kids together while we’re on these excursions!
